Blair Mowat is a prolific composer of scores for film, theatre and television, with well over a hundred credits. Amongst others, previous clients include The English National Ballet, The Royal Shakespeare Company, the BBC and Channel 4.
Credits include BBC’s 8-part Dr Who spin-off Class, created and written by Patrick Ness, Happy! for the SyFy Channel, music for the BBC’s flagship documentary strand Horizon, HBO feature Frequencies and BBC Christmas ghost story The Dead Room starring Simon Callow.
He is a BAFTA nominated, 4Talent short-listed, award-winning composer with a BA (Hons) in Music from Durham University and an MA in Composition for Film and Television from Bristol University, for which he was awarded a Distinction. In 2012 he was nominated for a Creative Scotland Award for 'Best New Talent' in the Scottish arts. As a musical arranger he has worked on shows such as Doctor Who and David Attenborough's Life Story.
