Carl Vine’s Cello Concerto (2004) collected the award for Best Performance of an Australian Composition at the recent 2005 Classical Music Awards (presented by the Australian Performing Rights Association and the Australian Music Centre).
The work was premiered to great acclaim by Steven Isserlis, the Sydney SO and Jiri Bilohlavek, at the Sydney Opera House in June 2004.
