In the New Year celebrated composer and broadcaster Howard Goodall will release his eagerly anticpated fifth CD with Classic FM: Howard Goodall Inspired and Faber Music is proud to announce the publication of the album-matching songbook in late January. Inspired is the ultimate collection of Howard Goodall's best-loved works arranged for piano solo. Representing the different worlds of stage, church, film and TV for which Goodall writes, this publication includes his hugely popular TV themes: The Vicar of Dibley, Blackadder, Mr Bean and Red Dwarf, as well as the theme from QI as a 'bonus piece'. In addition there are arrangements for piano of Inspired, based on Goodall’s beautiful setting of Psalm 122, Pro Alios Curantibus from his work with Enchanted Voices and Angus Dei from his requiem Eternal Light. From the world of musical theatre is Nocturnes from Goodall’s musical Love Story and Shackleton's Cross is part of a set of piano pieces based on paintings in the Royal Collection. Finally, Every Purpose Under the Heaven is the result of a collaboration with United Learning to compose an oratorio inspired by the beautiful poetry of the King James Bible, here presented as an extended piece for piano solo.
