EPTA UK is delighted to present a day devoted to the new piano exams of Trinity College London and the ABRSM, to be held on Saturday 29th November, 2014 at Faber Music offices. Each session will cover the new syllabus in constructive and inspiring presentations.

10 – 1pm Trinity College London - New piano syllabus for 2015-2017

"What is that makes the Trinity piano syllabus both unique and attractive?" To answer this question, join Peter Wild as he guides you through a journey of discovery. En route, he will reveal Trinity's imaginative and stimulating approach to both technical work and repertoire. He will also touch on the flexible examination format - a format which makes the Trinity syllabus so user-friendly. There will be demonstrations at the piano, looking at repertoire and technical exercises from the teachers' and students' points of view. There are a number of surprises in the syllabus and most likely some new repertoire which is totally unfamiliar. Whatever your taste, there will be something for everyone".

1 – 2pm Buffet Lunch. Time to browse the stalls and choose your TWO FREE publications included in your admission price.

2 – 5pm ABRSM - The new 2015-16 Piano syllabus

Anthony Williams gives an informal pianistic tour through his favourite teaching choices from the wonderful new ABRSM syllabus, combining teaching hints and tips with an exploration of the broader musical themes and challenges that link the progression of students through the grades.

ABRSM have designed their exams and assessments to motivate students of all levels and ages, giving them a series of realistic goals and tangible rewards for their achievements.

Located at Faber Music's central London offices. Admission to this event is just £35 and includes tea/coffee, a buffet lunch, plus two free publications.

There will be many books to browse and buy on the day, with opportunities to meet and discuss ideas with colleagues. We are thrilled that both Murray McLachlan and Paul Harris will be at the lunch break to discuss their new publications.
