On 30 August, the BBC Concert Orchestra conducted by Keith Lockhart performed Sir Malcolm Arnold’s classic Four Cornish Dances at this year’s Proms in a programme listed as ‘English classics and US pizzazz’.
Also in the programme were other British classics Walton & Butterworth, and a new work by Graham Fitkin, followed by Bernstein, Gershwin and John Williams.
