Faber Music has recently released two new guitar songbooks from the popular English alternative rock band Radiohead, The Electric Guitar Songbook and The Acoustic Guitar Songbook, a fitting continuation to the band’s already landmark-filled year. These books have been produced in perfect timing for the 20th Anniversary of the release of the band’s third studio album OK Computer, released the 16th June 1997, which some would consider the ‘album of the 90s’. The books are filled with over 40 of the band’s greatest guitar songs spanning not only this famous album, but their full catalogue.

Radiohead headlined the Glastonbury festival 2017 last weekend, where their set included many of the hits produced in these new publications with plenty of favourites from OK Computer. The Telegraph called the band’s performance on the pyramid stage on Friday 23rd June, “amazing, mesmerizing, dazzling, audacious, frustrating and rewarding” and these books will surely live up to this description. These Faber Music publications, both artist approved, promise to help the guitarist recreate the band’s iconic hits, many of which were played at the band’s acclaimed performance after the end of their hiatus in 2014.

The two books, one for acoustic and the other for electric guitar, each contain different songs which was a great consideration taken when compiling the collection so guitarists can enjoy both. The songs are transcribed for guitar and voice in standard notation and tablature so they are easy to follow while remaining easily accessible to the avid Radiohead fan. The cover art, by Stanley Donwood, has been commissioned by Faber Music specifically for these publications and fit the alternative style of the band.

These new publications promise to do justice to the Radiohead model and continue to well represent the band’s niche in an easy to follow and enjoyable way.

Sheet music produced in these works include favourites such as Creep, Paranoid Android, Karma Police and No Surprises as well as works never-before seen in print.
