The Sounds of Music Festival in Groningen focused on the music of Jonathan Harvey in November 2010. Highlights included performances by Arditti Quartet, MusikFabrik, Ictus Ensemble and pianist Ralph van Raat, from 12-14 November.
Piano Music
Pianist Ralph van Raat, a devotée of Harvey’s music, showcased all six of Harvey’s solo piano works on 11 November, along with the Netherlands premiere of Harvey’s work for flute and piano Run Before Lightning with flautist Ilonka Kolthof at the November Festival in Den Bosch. On 12 November, the same programme travelled to the Sounds of Music Festival in Groningen.
