Premieres abound when Howard Goodall brings a festive Christmas programme to Oxford's Sheldonian Theatre on 16 December.  Together with the Enchanted Voices and Oxford Philomusica, he premieres choral/orchestral versions of a number of tracks from his best-selling 'Enchanted Carols' and 'Pelican in the Wilderness' Classic FM albums, plus concert premieres of Autumn and Winter for cello and orchestra from his score to Alan Titchmarsh's TV series 'The Seasons' (soloist will be Bozidar Vukotic of the Tippett Quartet).  There's also Christmas music by Gossec, Tchaikovsky, sleigh rides by Leroy Anderson and Delius, and more.  Plus, a special pre-concert event at 6.30pm for children.

From 'Enchanted Carols' will be performed:

The Angel Gabriel
Veni, veni, Emmanuel
Gaudete
Stella quam viderant Magi

and from 'Pelican in the Wilderness':

Psalm 23 The Lord is my Shepherd
Psalm 122 O Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem
