We are proud to announce that Faber Music is working alongside Save the Children on a brand new fundraising campaign aimed at getting everybody to sing for Save the Children this Christmas.

A large percentage of the publications that Faber Music publishes are for singers - choirs, school groups, ensembles and soloists alike. We were therefore very excited when Save the Children approached us and asked if we could help them with their 'Sing' campaign.

Faber Music will help to raise awareness of the work done by this remarkable charity by encouraging our customers, colleagues and clients to sing for Save the Children through our website, online store and by distributing campaign information leaflets.

Please take a moment to read how your donation could help save children's lives.

Help Save Children's Lives

Every year millions of children die because they can't get the food they need. Weak from hunger, they're unable to fight off illnesses like diarrhoea or pneumonia.

Djamila (above, far right) loves to sing at school with her friends, but since the drought in Niger destroyed her family's crops she's been forced to leave school and beg for food on the streets.

Around the world, Save the Children is helping children like Djamila get nutritious food and providing the vital healthcare they need to fight off deadly diseases.

Your festive fundraising will help Save the Children reach even more children, no matter where they live.

What The Money Can Do

£300 can buy medicine to treat 800 children for life-threatening diarrhoea.
£1,000 can provide ten days' worth of life-saving food for 200 malnourished children.

Quotes

Vicky Fallon, Fundraising Campaign Development Manager, Save the Children:

"Save the Children is delighted to be working with Faber Music this Christmas. Together, we have launched our brand new Sing to Save Children’s Lives activity, which we hope will raise both money and awareness for our life-saving work with children around the world. It’s a fantastic opportunity for Save the Children to reach out to those people who love to sing, and encourage them to lend their voices to help the world’s most vulnerable children."

Simon Halsey, Chorus Director of the CBSO Chorus, Choral Director of the London Symphony Orchestra and London Symphony Chorus, Artistic Director of the Berlin Philharmonic’s Youth Choral Programme, and Director of the BBC Proms Youth Choir:

"Singing makes a difference-it brings communities together. It crosses every cultural divide and opens up the world, especially to children. Save the Children is also about making a difference and changing children’s lives. This is a terrific collaboration, imaginative and practical. Let’s all benefit together!"

Heidi Pegler co-author and editor of the award-winning Language of Song series:

"Save the Children has been working tirelessly for children's rights for almost a hundred years and it is still as necessary and relevant as it was after the first world war. Sadly, the world continues to exploit the lives of children and this organisation is needed to keep those issues in the foremost of our minds. Every life is precious and every child should feel secure and loved and never exploited for greed or gain. Join in the campaign and sing for Save the Children this Christmas."

Mary Cohen, Faber Music composer and author:

"This is a great charity and one that resonates with my pupils – we’ve contributed to several concerts in aid of Save the Children."

Lin Marsh, composer of Faber Music's Songscape series:

"What a wonderful idea for a campaign! We are literally "giving children a voice" by linking the inspirational activity of singing with donating to those who are in need. Christmas should be a time for sharing -  so well done Faber on this great initiative."

Nicki-Jane Kemp co-author and editor of the award-winning Language of Song series:

"How wonderful that the life-changing power of singing can be used to help provide life-saving support for many young people through the work of Save The Children"
