Following her recent successful US premiere performances of Matthew Hindson's Violin Concerto with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Canadian violinist Lara St John  travels to Australia to launch a violin and string orchestra version of the composer's Maralinga, part of an eight-date tour with the Australian Chamber Orchestra. See the score here.

Hindson's virtuosic work takes as its starting point the notorious, and secretive, British nuclear testing that took place in the South Australian desert in the 1950s and 60s, and which contaminated the site for almost 40 years.
