A new revue featuring the musical theatre songs of Howard Goodall is to be performed at Ye Olde Rose And Crown Theatre in London The revue, which is entitled Love and War will be performed by All Star Productions
In 2011 this exciting young theatre company staged the first London revival of Howard Goodall’s musical Girlfriends. Their performance was described as ‘The most inspiring Musical revival of the year’ (Mark Shenton The Stage)
Love and War, performed by a cast of four, features some of Howard Goodall’s best loved numbers from Love Story, The Hired Man, Days of Hope, A Winter’s Tale and many more. Goodall’s evocative music is used to weave a story about what happens to two couples when the men are called off to war, and how they are all changed when the war is over.
It will be performed between 21 February and 10 March 2012 with Press Night on 24 February 2012. Full details are available on the linked websites of the theatre and the production company.
