On Saturday 9th July the final session of the Faber Media Music Academy took place.

22 students enrolled on this intensive course, led by
Philip Sheppard, which took place over a six week period.

The students each wrote a score for one of a choice for three short film clips, and these were recorded at a live session at the Royal Academy of Music, using graduate student musicians. The very best examples can be viewed below. The student feedback from the course has been overwhelmingly positive (“This has been an absolutely fantastic course, and I am very glad I attended”; “One of the most enjoyable and inspiring experiences in film music”). Many thanks are due to the musicians who performed at the sessions, and to the Royal Academy of Music’s studio manager, Roderick Buchanan-Dunlop.
