Howard Goodall's Enchanted Voices, a haunting new album marks the composer's position as Classic FM's Composer in Residence.  It was released on 23 March on the Classic FM label and immediately shot to the top of the classical charts on iTunes, Amazon & HMV.

Subtitled "the unique sound of 21st century chant" Enchanted Voices comprises settings of the eight Beatitudes from St Matthew's telling of Jesus's sermon on the mount, together with four contemporary responses to the idea of the Blessed that "pay homage to the original concept by offering in all humility these new groups."

Enchanted Voices is scored for a unique ensemble, comprising a minimum of 8 sopranos, solo cello, organ, synthesizer and handbells.
