Thomas Adès and the Royal Opera House has won the Olivier Award for the Outstanding Achievement in Opera category for the world premiere production of Adès’s opera The Tempest.

The award ceremony took place on 20 February at the London Hilton, Park Lane. A star-studded guest list  included names such as Michael Gambon, Richard Griffiths, Judi Dench, Michael Crawford and Jonathan Pryce.

Simon Keenlyside, who sang the role of Prospero in The Tempest, collected the award.
