Elissa Milne, one of Australia’s leading composers and teachers, recently led a successful composition master class as part of The Riverina Conservatorium Composition Festival in Wagga, Wagga, Australia.

As extensive users of her Little Peppers educational piano music series, the students were keen to work with Elissa on their own compositions, ranging from horn trios and piano pieces to songs and recorder duets. All the three participating composers, were commissioned to create new works for the weekend, and Saturday was spent in composition master classes.

It’s been a busy year for Elissa following a tour of Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne in April, in which she highlighted the John Kember Jazz Studies, as well as other Faber Music collections, including her Little Peppers and Pepperbox Jazz series

Elissa is the author of over 100 educational piano pieces, several of which have been set on the Trinity College London and Australian Music Examination Board piano syllabuses, as well as the ABRSM syllabus, including works for trumpet and cello.
