Faber Music is seeking a Hire Library Assistant (based Harlow, Essex, UK) to join our busy sheet music library team providing performance materials to a wide range of UK and international musicians. 

 

 

 

Main duties will include:

  • handling phone, email and internet enquiries and orders
  • picking and checking performance materials
  • maintaining quality of performance materials
  • manufacturing new hire materials using photocopier and binding machines (training provided)
  • returning & re-shelving stock
  • invoicing customers for hire of materials
  • processing credit card payments using online till (training provided)
  • assisting manager with duties as required
  • use of Hire Library Management System (HLMSW) and Zinfonia (training provided)
  • use of MS Outlook, Word and Excel

 

Qualities sought:

  • experienced and capable user of MS Outlook (or similar email/task management software)
  • competent user of MS Word and Excel (or similar)
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to read music
  • knowledge of (or interest in) classical music
  • keen attention to detail
  • physical fitness (moderate lifting and stairs involved)
