Faber Music are delighted to announce the signing of an exclusive publishing deal with Winter Mountain. The song writing duo of Joe Francis and Marty Smyth, who hail from Cornwall and Donegal respectively, have won over virtually everyone who’s happened upon them. Early champions include Janice Long at BBC Radio 2 and Rosanne Cash, who handpicked them to open for her on her UK tour.

Winter Mountain’s debut, eponymous, album was released on Charcoal Records in August 2013. Featuring contributions from Robbie McIntosh (guitarist with McCartney, The Pretenders, John Mayer), Audrey Riley (string arranger for Coldplay, Nick Cave) and Leo Abrahams (guitarist for Brian Eno, Florence And The Machine), the recordings took place in a host of vintage studios which echo the authenticity of their sound.

Produced by Sam Lakeman and co-produced by veteran engineer Matt Lawrence (Adele, Mumford and Sons, Van Morrison) and mixed by the highly acclaimed Mike Crossey (Ben Howard, Jake Bugg, The Arctic Monkeys) and Spike Drake (Dirty Pretty Things, Beverly Knight), the album has an unmistakable quality. Almost two years in the making due to the obvious geographical hurdles and having had time and effort lavished upon it, Winter Mountain's debut features 11 original songs written by Joe and Marty and blends exquisite melodies, unashamedly heartfelt lyrics and above all else, compelling harmonies.

Following a brief UK tour in September, Winter Mountain will be joining Seth Lakeman on his upcoming tour this autumn.

"The tumbling, romantic rush of Kissing In The Rain and Simon & Garfunkel harmonies of Tell Me are among the highlights but there is barely a wasted note on the whole record. Fabulous. 5/5" Sunday Express (Martin Townsend)

"They're amazing...awesome harmony singing and such beautiful songs!" - Rosanne Cash
