Woolrich’s lyrical Capriccio for solo violin and strings visited Aldeburgh on 16 October 2010 to feature as part of a Britten Weekend, performed by Violinist Markus Däunert and the Aldeburgh Strings, who are made up of musicians from the Britten–Pears Young Artist Programme.  The young artists were mentored and joined in performance by some of Europe’s leading orchestral and chamber musicians, amongst them principals from the Leipzig Gewandhaus and London Symphony Orchestra, and former members of the Alban Berg and Belcea Quartets.
