Programme Notes
This caprice is a miniature violin concerto, mostly skittish but with some shadows. At the end, the music, which has been gathering momentum, collapses into a ghostly, mechanical coda. Capriccio was commissioned by the Scottish Ensemble with support from the RVW Trust. John Woolrich
