Commissioned by the Dean and Chapter of Westminster, through the generosity of Justin & Lisa Simpson, for a service to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on 2 June 2003, at Westminster Abbey. This brief motet was composed to words chosen by the Queen for the service in Westminster Abbey to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary of her coronation. They express humility and the respectful desire to serve.
