Paul Carr was born in 1961 and has been writing music since the age of 15. He received his first offer of publication two years later and is now a successful composer for film, television and the concert hall whose music has been extensively recorded and broadcast.
From 1984 to 1989 Paul’s professional career was as an Opera Stage Manager. He has worked with English National Opera, The Australian Opera, Opera Ireland, The New Israeli Opera, and with both the Glyndebourne Festival and Touring Opera companies. He has been actively involved in the filming and television broadcast of many opera productions all over the world, and has worked with some of the best directors, conductors and singers in the operatic field today.
Paul resigned from Glyndebourne in 1998, having decided to concentrate fully on composing, with particular emphasis on music for film and television.
