Superstart violin new edition Mary Cohen is one of our leading string teachers and has had the invaluable musical experience of several years with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. She always provides us with fun, technique and a love of music. Superstart is a distillation of Superstart 1 and 2. What a good idea to revise! The original was good, but this edition is better. It is clearer and more focused. Two volumes can often seem daunting to both pupil and teacher, so having the basics in one tutor, and then moving on to new material, gives variety. While Cohen has chosen a few new pieces, most of the tunes are from the old edition. There is a seperate book of stylish piano accompaniments (by Spearing) with some violin duet parts. A CD is included, performed by the authors. There are... drawings by Todd O'Neill and a particularly useful feature is that the book is compatible with Superstart Viola and Superstart Cello.
