Christian A. Pohl is one of the world's leading piano teachers and has headed the piano and conducting department at the Leipzig University of Music and Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" for the past 6 years. For more than 20 years he has been intensively involved in the development of systematic piano methodology, which is able to present traditional knowledge and new methodological approaches so vividly and clearly that teachers and students can understand and grasp what artistic work on the piano can look like in a completely new way . He is director of the International Mendelssohn Academy in Leipzig, which was founded in 2012. Christian A. Pohl regularly takes popular master classes and seminars on his piano methodology to numerous European and Asian countries.

Christian A. Pohl ist einer der führenden Klavierpädagogen weltweit und leitete in den vergangenen 6 Jahren die Abteilung Klavier und Dirigieren an der Leipziger Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“. Seit über 20 Jahren beschäftigt er sich intensiv mit der Entwicklung der systematischen Klaviermethodik, die tradiertes Wissen und neue methodische Ansätze so lebendig und klar darzustellen vermag, dass für Lehrende und Lernende in völlig neuer Art verständlich und greifbar wird, wie künstlerisches Arbeiten am Klavier aussehen kann. Er ist Direktor der 2012 gegründeten Internationalen Mendelssohn-Akademie Leipzig. Gefragte Meisterkurse und Seminare zu seiner Klaviermethodik führen Christian A. Pohl regelmäßig in zahlreiche europäische und asiatische Länder.
