Anna Meredith has released a new album titled Anno, a boundary-pushing collaboration with the Scottish Ensemble. Released on August 17 on Moshi Moshi records, the LP intertwines Anna's original compositions with Vivaldi's Four Seasons, in an innovative, electronic re-imagination of the original work, marking an impeccable blend of old and new, 'classical' and 'popular'.

Anno began life as an immersive, 360 degree experience featuring beautiful visuals by Eleanor Meredith. The sixty-minute work for string orchestra was premiered by the Scottish ensemble in 2016 at Spitalfields Festival. It was recently performed again at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Anna, a former composer for the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, recorded the album with the Scottish Ensemble, and the album is available in a range of formats. In addition to digital and double vinyl copies, Anno is available as an exclusive binaural recording, allowing the listener to experience the music in a unique, spatial capacity.
