Composer and performer, Anna Meredith, is to headline London's Barbican Centre across a single weekend this spring, with two very different events set to spotlight contrasting facets of her musical talents.

On 30 April she and her band join forces with the ground-breaking London Contemporary Orchestra (conducted by Robert Ames) for a live orchestral performance in the Barbican Hall of her most recent album, FIBS - featuring brand-new arrangements by Ben Corrigan and Robert Ames.

Meredith has previously presented sell-out band and orchestra evenings of her debut album, Varmints in London, Edinburgh, The Netherlands and Georgia. The eagerly-anticipated Barbican event promises to be a real treat.

And on the following afternoon (1 May) she joins her band in the Barbican Cinema 1 for the first ever live film screening of Bo Burnham's award-winning teen comedy-drama, Eighth Grade. The film was Meredith's debut film score and also Burnham's first feature-length film scooping the Sundance Audience Award at its premiere at Sundance 2018.  Meredith's pulsating electronic score perfectly complements the world of shy, awkward teenager Kayla.
