Morten Lauridsen is to collaborate with the Stay At Home Choir for its Christmas project this year, joining online rehearsals and accompanying from the piano. Hundreds of singers around the world will learn his iconic O Magnum Mysterium through live Zoom rehearsals, supported by learning videos and extra resources produced by SAHC.

Singers will then record themselves singing their voice part at home, and each individual recording will be blended into a massive final 'performance' video, which will premiere on the Stay At Home Choir YouTube channel just in time for Christmas.

The Stay At Home Choir was founded in response to the pandemic in March 2020, and since then has created once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for singers to learn from their favourite choral artists. They are delighted to be collaborating with Morten Lauridsen on this project and to offer its members his insight into O Magnum Mysterium. Anyone can join - they currently have over 27,000 singers from 75+ countries on their mailing list.

'O Magnum Mysterium with Morten Lauridsen' will run for 3 weeks with rehearsals starting from Friday 22 October, although singers are still welcome to join in after this point and access past rehearsals  on catch-up. Three sessions will be led by Morten himself. Video submissions will start from 1 November.
