Matthew Hindson is to write a new full-evening ballet, A Comedy of Errors, to choreography by Sir David Bintley. It's the result of a commission from Sarasota Ballet in Florida and will launch there on 25 March 2022 with a subsequent performance on 26 March. Designs will be by Dick Bird.
This will be the third ballet that the Hindson and Bintley have created together, following the earlier one-act successes of E-mc2 and Faster - both premiered by Birmingham Royal Ballet in 2009 and 2011 respectively, toured throughout the UK, and subsequently staged in Japan and Australia.
