The music that constitutes the first minute of this piece is generated from a prime-number series that governs dynamics, rhythm and occurrence of pitches. Almost nothing is left to intuitive intervention. Although I started to work much more intuitively after this point, (including the rest of Close Ups), this structure is present in most of my pieces since then, most notably in ”The Peacock Moment” (Påfågelsögonblick) for clarinet and piano.
