Jessica Curry’s third and final commission as the London Oriana Choir’s five15 Composer-in-Residence (2018-19), I Loved You First: But Afterwards Your Love is a setting of a beautiful pre-Raphaelite sonnet by Christina Rossetti (1830-94). The 5-minute work for unaccompanied SATB chorus was premiered by London Oriana Choir and Dominic Ellis-Peckham in Stationers’ Hall, London on 30 June 2019.
