This is a choral download sold with a licence to make up to 30 copies.
Commissioned by Māris Sirmais and the Latvian youth choir Kamer for the World Sun Songs Project in 2007. Miškinis sets a fragment of a Lithuanian shepherd song 'The sun, my mother', an elderly mother’s prayer for her only son to return after twenty five years of service in the army. The acoustic is developed with Skuduciai (Lithuanian pan flutes).
