Rivers Of Light (Mixed Voices)

A companion piece to Eriks Esenvalds' Northern Lights, this piece uses Sami folksongs and English texts from multiple writers to reproduce, in musical form, the shimmering "rivers of light" flowing across the sky in the Aurora Borealis. Commissioned by the Swedbank Choir under Artūrs Ancāns, Rivers of Light is scored for mixed SSAATTBBB choir with two solo voices (one female, one male) and jaw harp. Duration: 6’30”
