Te lucis ante terminum (Mixed Voices)

For unaccompanied choir with baritone (or upper voices) set a distance from the main choir. This 7-minute work by James Burton sets an English translation of the Te Lucis Ante Terminum prayer (Before the ending of the day) with extracts from the Special Constabulary Report Book of London’s National Portrait Gallery from 1914–20, when its basement was used as a safe haven during the First World War London bombings.
