Composer-pianist Anne Lovett included two of her compositions in a recent recital from London's Institut Français, part of the Beyond Words Literature Festival

She joined forces with violist Agathe Max on 20 May, in a programme that also included works by Satie, Purcell, Lili Boulanger, Kreisler and Max herself.

The two Lovett works were Margate and What We Are, both of which feature on her second album, The Eleventh Hour. In this performance Max's electric viola weaves improvised traceries throughout the piano textures. The performance was further enhanced by visuals from Li Chevalier.
