The first weeks of 2022 have seen Kirill Gerstein take the Adès Piano Concerto to five different orchestras around the world.

The composer himself conducted in Boston and Brussels (where he is Composer-in-residence with the Brussels Philharmonic), while Antonio Pappano and Jaime Martín conducted the Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra respectively. In Hamburg, Alan Gilbert conducted the concerto as part of celebrations marking five years of the ElbPhilharmonie.

Listen to the broadcast from Boston – which also includes Adès conducting the Berg Three Orchestral Pieces and Ravel’s La Valse and Piano Concerto for the Left Hand, here.
