Danny Elfman’s Concerto for Violin and Orchestra: "Eleven Eleven" recently received its U.S. premiere at Bing Concert Hall in Stanford on March 10 and 11 2018.
 
The piece was jointly commissioned by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, Stanford Live, Stanford University and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and composed for violinist Sandy Cameron. Eleven Eleven, previously premiered in Prague and Hamburg by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and John Mauceri (alongside Cameron), was performed by the Stanford University Orchestra conducted by Mauceri on the university campus.
 
The Concerto for Violin and Orchestra will next be performed by the Royal Scottish National Orchestra at the UK premiere in Glasgow in June 2018 before JoAnn Falletta brings the concerto to the Virginia Symphony with Sandy Cameron as soloist in September 2018.
