Faber Music Ltd is delighted to wish Morten Lauridsen a very Happy 75th Birthday!
We are proud to have had a publishing relationship with Morten since the publication of our edition of his best-selling choral octavo O Magnum Mysterium in 2002.
We have since gone onto produce numerous other Faber Music editions of his music, including all his major choral compositions (Lux aeterna, Nocturnes, Madrigali and Les Chansons des Roses), as well as the acclaimed brass band arrangement of O Magnum Mysterium.
There are already countless events worldwide marking the occasion of Lauridsen's anniversary. And there are two major new recordings due for release later this year. Deutsche Grammophon are to release an all-Lauridsen choral disc in performance by the Chamber Choir of Europe under Nicol Matt, whilst the premiere recording of the violin and orchestra version of O Magnum Mysterium, performed by Anne Akiko Myers, the Philharmonia Orchestra and Kristjan Järvi, is to be released on AVIE Records.
