I was delighted to learn just a few weeks ago, of a new recording of my 'Summer Waltzes' for Flute, Oboe and Piano, by the American group Indånde (which is Danish for breathe). The CD also features Malcolm Arnold's excellent 'Suite Bourgeoise' for the same combination. If you'd like to find out more, here's a link....

I don't have all that much music recorded at the moment (though strangely there are a number of recordings of the Summer Waltzes!) But a new CD of my works is coming out in February on Clarinet Classics played and led by the great Victoria Soames Samek. There are 16 works on this CD! Including, 'Visions', 'Six Clerihew Songs', 'Sonata da Camera' and I'm particularly excited about 'The Unhappy Aardvark' a real favorite of mine for Wind Quintet and narrator. The narrator in this case is the legendary Robert Hardy (Cornelius Fudge in Harry Potter and Siegfried Farnon in All Creatures Great and Small) His wonderful voice adds something very special. It will also include my 'Introduction, Theme and Variation on a Christmas Tune' which I wrote for Julian Bliss (first performed at Wellington Barracks at a big Christmas Concert a year or two ago and attended by the Queen) and 'Fantastical micro-variations on a theme by Mozart' - a very frivolous piece which was first performed (at a birthday party for my teacher, John Davies) by none other than Karl Leister! More news on this soon.
