Hire Library Administrator, Faber Music 
 
Department: Hire Library
Contract and Hours: Permanent. Full time, Monday-Friday 
Salary: £19k to £21k pa (dependent upon experience)
Location: Harlow, Essex (with some scope for hybrid working)

About the role                                                        
Faber Music’s Hire Library is a vital part of our operations and facilitates the performance of our works across the world. As a key member of our small and highly professional team, you will assist the Hire Library Manager in providing a first-class service to our customers and publishing colleagues.
 
Core responsibilities 
  • Facilitating orders and processing them through our Hire Library Management System, issuing additional licences where necessary
  • Providing customer support and troubleshooting
  • Facilitating the sale and dispatch of print-on-demand items
  • Liaising with Faber Music’s network of agents around the world and those publishers to whom we act as agents (eg. Bärenreiter)
  • Liaising with our Editorial Department in London about status of material and new works
  • Checking the status of performance materials before dispatch
  • Processing and re-shelving returned stock; chasing late material
 
Required
  • Exemplary verbal and written communications skills
  • An interest and/or knowledge of classical music, and the ability to read music 
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail and a flair for organisation
  • A personable approach with internal and external contacts
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team, think laterally and anticipate problems
 
Preferred
  • Music qualifications and/or practical music experience
  • Relevant administrative experience
  • Proficiency in languages
