John Hardy recorded his score for Mr Burton, released on 4th April, with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Directed by Marc Evans, the film narrates the early life, in a Welsh mining town, of the great Richard Burton. ‘Mr Burton’ of the title is the English teacher who adopted him (rescuing him from his drunken father), nurtured his talents and helped turn him into one of the greatest actors of his generation.
It stars Tony Jones as Mr Burton and Harry Lawtey as his young protégé.
