Over 100 million TV viewers will acquaint themselves with the music of Nigel Hess on 11 December, when his Fantasy for Violin and Orchestra from the Classical Brit-nominated film score Ladies in Lavender is performed at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert in Oslo.

The gala evening, held at the Oslo Spektrum, is to be presented by Scarlett Johansson and Sir Michael Caine and will be broadcast live on NRK1 TV. 

The Fantasy will be performed by Finnish soloist Elina Vähälä, with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra conducted by her fellow countryman Ralf Gothoni.  Also performing at the event will be Diana Ross and Il Divo.
