On 2 October 2021, Carl Davis’ score to Ernst Lubitsch’s 1925 silent film, Lady Windermere’s Fan, will be performed alongside a screening of the film at the Pordenone Silent Film Festival, Italy. This will be the first time Davis’ score has been performed in Italy and marks the 40th anniversary of the festival as the opening event. The event takes place at the Teatro Comunale Giuseppe Verdi where Davis himself will conduct the piano trio accompanying the film.

More information available on the festival website.

This version of the score is written specifically for a new restoration of the Lady Windermere’s Fan prepared by Museum of Modern Art, New York.
