Newly available are two recent choral works by Howard Goodall.

To See Another Sun was originally commissioned by St Mary's Church, Barnes (London) and premiered there by the Choir of St Mary's in September 2003.

The 5-minute work for SATB and organ has now been absorbed into Goodall's new Christmas Cantata, unveiled in Houston, TX by St Luke's United Methodist Church Choir conducted by the composer in December 2019.

The full Cantata will be available in print for Christmas 2021, but for now we are delighted to have made this single movement available as a digital download.

Goodall talks about the background to the Cantata here.

The Good-Morrow sets a poem by John Donne for upper voices and piano. Published in Donne's 1633 collection "Songs and Sonnets", the poem addresses universal themes of love, compassion and togetherness which are echoed in Goodall's music. A reflective and uplifting choral work ideal for concert performance.

The 5-minute composition was originally written for Pamela Cook and Cantamus Girls' Choir in 2000. Here they are performing it at the 2019 European Choir games in Göteborg, Sweden:
