Contract and hours: full time, Monday-Friday
Salary: £24.5-26.5k (dependent upon experience)
Location: Faber Music distribution centre, Harlow, Essex

About the role
Working as part of our small team based in Harlow, the Hire Library Technician is primarily responsible for the production of Faber Music performance materials, which are used by many of the world’s great orchestras and soloists. Reporting to the Hire Services Manager, the Technician also manufactures our in-house print-on-demand products for a range of catalogues.

Core responsibilities

  • Manufacturing performance material and print-on-demand sheet music, adhering to Faber Music’s high production standards.
  • Upkeep of a tidy, well-stocked printery area
  • Assisting with picking, dispatch, return and reshelving of hire materials
  • Liaison with dispatch, warehouse, editorial and promotion teams

 

Requisite experience and attributes

  • The ability to read music and experience of music making, ideally within a classical context.
  • Good communication, budgeting, and project management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a flair for organisation.
  • Fluent and efficient use of printing software (Adobe experience desirable).
  • The ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
