Tessa's film & TV credits include chilling true crime series The Snowman (De Sneeuwman) which was recently awarded a Buma Music In Media Award for the score, Lei Lei’s animated feature doc Silver Bird and Rainbow Fish and Antoinette Beumer’s 2021 feature Mijn Vader is Een Vliegtuig. She also provided vocals for the 2018 feature, Terminal, starring Margot Robbie and Simon Pegg; and worked on the collaborative score for the 2022 feature film The Phantom Carriage.

From psychedelic folk to eerie synthesizer soundscapes, experimentations in processed vocals and noise to quirky, banjo-infused instrumentals, Tessa takes each project on with fresh ears and allows her musical choices to be led by the context of the narrative and imagery.

She is a fulltime movie lover (casually obsessed with all things Lynch, Paul Thomas / Wes Anderson and Carpenter) and is passionate about creating music that enhances a film’s storytelling and sense of style.

When working for film, she often collaborates with her partner and synthesizer-guru Darius Timmer. Tessa has a home studio with an elaborate collection of vintage guitars and synthesizers as well as a separate space in the iconic Metropolis Studios, London.

She also releases and performs her own indie music (and visual art) as an artist under the name Someone. These songs are inherently cinematic of nature and Tessa names Nick Drake, Zero 7, Beach House and Feist as among her key music influences. In 2018, her song ‘Forget Forgive’ was used by independent mini-series Impact and Netflix’s Dear White People
