Lounge Music comes from the third movement of my flute concerto, House Music.  In this re-imagining for clarinet and piano, I have used the starting point of “lounge” - being somewhere comfortable to relax and “chill out”, but also referencing lounge music of the 1960s. So there are grooves, riffs and melodic patterns that perhaps might not be out of place in an Austin Powers film.
