The score to Anderson's Alahambra Fantasy.

First performed in 2000 by Oliver Knussen and the London Sinfonietta Alhambra Fantasy is a bravura and arresting picture of the art and architecture of Granada and the Alhambra Palace. Scored for a chamber ensemble of sixteen players, this 15-minute evocation is divided in two: clattering, hammering from congas and dustbin lids that evoke the building’s construction, followed by a songlike sequence that evokes the landscape of the area. 'A vivid splash of sound’, George Hall wrote in The Daily Telegraph ‘ immediate impression to Anderson's outstanding gifts as an instrumental colourist.'
