The score to Anderson's Alahambra Fantasy.

First performed in 2000 by Oliver Knussen and the London Sinfonietta Alhambra Fantasy is a bravura and arresting picture of the art and architecture of Granada and the Alhambra Palace. Scored for a chamber ensemble of sixteen players, this 15-minute evocation is divided in two: clattering, hammering from congas and dustbin lids that evoke the building’s construction, followed by a songlike sequence that evokes the landscape of the area. 'A vivid splash of sound’, George Hall wrote in The Daily Telegraph ‘...an immediate impression to Anderson's outstanding gifts as an instrumental colourist.'
