Ivor Novello Award winner and double Grammy Award winner Paul Phoenix teams up with a cappella ensemble Apollo5 and orchestra to share tracks on the latest recording from Edition Peters Sounds.

Paul Phoenix, famous as a choirboy, former member of The King’s Singers and founder of Purple Vocals presents some of his favourite tracks, including Nunc Dimittis the theme-tune from BBC TV’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy which propelled him to stardom in 1979. Other tracks include Pie Jesu by John Brunning and U2’s MLK, important pieces on his musical path. The Journey continues with the newly composed folksong arrangement Oh You Wide Steppe on this recording.

Apollo5 has been praised for its engaging and entertaining performances. With repertoire ranging from retro jazz and pop arrangements to classical they are accomplished performers on the concert platform.  A part of the VCM Foundation with their home at the Gresham Centre in London, they regularly collaborate with Paul Phoenix.
