This is the vocal part from an arrangement in A minor for solo voice, cor anglais, harp and strings of 'La virgen lava pañales' for voice and orchestra, a Traditional Spanish work orchestrated in this instance by Colin Matthews.
The first performance was given by Kiri Te Kanawa and the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Carl Davis, at the Barbican Centre, London, in December 1985.
