Performance Notes: This work was designed for choruses numbering 50-150. With good voices, however, and careful attention to the dynamics of trumpet, trombone and percussion, it can be successfully performed by as few as 30 singers. With such a small group, each strong part may be played by a single player. Manifold strings are recommended for most performances, their numbers determines by size of chorus, quality of players and acoustic hall. Elizabethan costumes and dancing, while not necessary, add much to the performance of this work.
