Uplifted Voices celebrates the diversity and richness of choral music with an engaging selection of works for SSA/SSAA by renowned women composers of many nationalities spanning the last three centuries. Alongside well-known pieces, the collection presents numerous previously unpublished works by historical composers such as Elfrida Andrée, Louise Adolpha Le Beau, and Florence Price, complemented by selected pieces from contemporary composers including Vivienne Olive and Marie-Claire Saindon. Short biographies of all composers are included, and all song texts are provided with translations into both English and German.
Elegantly curated and highly practical, the volume offers upper-voice choirs easy-to-sing and rewarding repertoire. The edition was produced in collaboration with Archiv Frau und Musik.
